Meditation is an approach to training the mind, similar to the way that fitness is an approach to training the body. But many meditation techniques exist.Meditation is the practice of turning your attention to a single point of reference. It can involve focusing on the breath, on bodily sensations, or on a word or phrase known as a mantra. It can also be listening to a guided meditation, in other words, meditation means turning your attention away from distracting thoughts and focusing on the present moment. Meditating is deceptively simple and we will explore various meditation techniques in order to find what suits you.
Meditation has many health benefits, some of them include; lower blood pressure, improved blood circulation, lower heart rate, less perspiration slower respiratory rate, less anxiety, lower blood cortisol levels, more feelings of well-being, less stress, deeper relaxation.Consistent meditation has positive effects on brain and immune function. Yet it is worth repeating that the purpose of meditation is not to achieve benefits. To put it as an Eastern philosopher might say, the goal of meditation is no goal. It is simply to be present.
“Reiki” (ray-key) is Japanese for ‘universal life energy, and is also a word used to describe a system of natural healing. A technique used for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes inner healing. The method of receiving Reiki is simple. The recipient remains clothed and lies on a couch or sits on a chair and relaxes. The practitioner gently places their hands in a series of non-intrusive positions on or near the body. There is no massage or manipulation. The whole person is treated rather than specific areas. It is administered by "laying on hands", an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what enables us to be live. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including the physical body, emotions, mind and spirit - creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. It is a tradition that is open to any belief system. Reiki treatment is a process that anyone can enjoy in the normal course of their life. Reiki can be used alongside other conventional or complementary treatment and often helps to provide physical and emotional support during recovery. (Please see more about REIKI on the REIKI page.)
Past Life Regression
Past life memories are the autobiography of your eternal soul-personal stories that explain who you are now and why you’re here on Earth. Healing and awakening as you discover what you have come here to learn and experience. Past life regression is an amazing, full-sensory experience. You might experience the memory as a vivid movie, or see only vague flashes of images that prompt the narrative. You might hear gunshots or explosions on a battlefield, or music at a dance. It is possible to recall smells too: smoke from a fire, leather from a saddle, or the sweat of a dirty body. As the story unfolds, you feel real emotions appropriate to the story. You may cry when you re-experience deep sadness, feel despair or elation at a long-awaited homecoming. These physical sensations and emotions are very real in the moment, but pass quickly as you move through the past life story and death. Re-experiencing and processing a past life memory can help you understand and resolve current relationships, begin to untangle emotional problems including phobias and compulsions, and even heal physical complaints. It might explain mysteries in your life and give you a greater sense of peace. Perhaps the greatest benefit is experiencing yourself, not as a body, but as a soul who has lived before and will live again.
